Your account
How to delete your Faith Flame account
You delete the account yourself, inside the app, and it takes less than a minute. Below are the steps, what gets erased, and what you need to do separately if you have an active subscription.
Deletion is permanent
There is no undo and no recovery afterwards. Your streak, your reading progress, your saved verses and your chat history are erased along with the account.
A Premium subscription is not cancelled with it
The subscription is billed by the App Store or Google Play, not by Faith Flame — and deleting your account in the app does not stop the charge. Cancel the subscription in the store where you bought it BEFORE deleting the account, or it keeps renewing.
Step by step
Sign in to the app
Open Faith Flame on your phone and make sure you are signed in — the delete option only appears for a signed-in account.
Open the side menu
Tap the menu icon in the top left corner of the home screen.
Scroll to "Delete account"
The option is at the end of the list, below the settings.
Enter your password
The deletion screen asks for your account password. It is an identity check: without it, anyone who picks up your unlocked phone could erase your account. If you use the app without signing up, as a guest, there is no password to type — the app only asks you to confirm.
Confirm
Tap the confirmation button. From there the deletion runs immediately and cannot be interrupted.
What gets erased
We erase your account and everything tied to it on our servers: profile, settings, daily streak, activity log, guided reading progress, saved verses and questions, and your conversations with the assistant, including the messages. The sign-in account is then removed, and the app clears what it was holding about you on the device. Uninstalling the app erases the rest.
What does not go with the account
The usage events the app has already sent to our analytics and advertising services stay with them. Those events carry an identifier for your account and are not erased automatically along with it — if you want them removed too, write to us and we will take care of it. Your purchase history stays with the App Store or Google Play, who process the payment; we have no access to remove it.
Cannot get into the app?
If you forgot your password, use “Forgot my password” on the app sign-in screen. You will get a link at the registered email address, set a new password and sign back in — and then you can delete the account through the steps above. We prefer this to erasing accounts on an email request: it keeps deletion protected by your password, so nobody can erase your account without it.
