A Bible reading and study app made by two people, who sign everything they publish with their own names.
What Faith Flame is
Faith Flame is a Bible reading and study app for Android and iPhone, with a website that publishes part of the same content in the open for people who arrive through search. It is one app in three languages, and it takes a different name in each: Chama da Fé in Portuguese, Faith Flame in English, Llama de Fe in Spanish. Not three products — the same app, the same biblical library, the same features.
Who makes it
Faith Flame is developed and published by Lykos Company. The editorial content and the Chama da Fé Edition of the Bible are written and reviewed by two people, Raphael Navarro Schmitt and Maria Luisa Navarro Schmitt, who swap the roles of author and reviewer from one piece to the next — whoever writes one does not review themselves on the following one.
Meet the people who writeWhy it exists
Almost everyone who sets out to read the whole Bible stops in Leviticus. The problem is rarely willpower: it is starting with no idea where to begin, no context for what you are reading, and no one to ask when the text stops making sense. Faith Flame was built for those three things — a reading order that holds together, context in plain language, and the ability to ask a question and get an answer that cites chapter and verse instead of offering an opinion.
A home for Catholics and Protestants
The app asks which tradition you come from and serves the matching edition — not because the two readings are interchangeable, but because it is not our place to decide for you. Where Catholics and Protestants read differently, the content presents both readings with equal weight and says plainly that the page does not settle the question.
What Faith Flame is not
It is not a religious authority and it does not replace your faith community. No page on this site approves, authorizes or forbids any practice, and the Catholic edition we publish carries no imprimatur and has not been submitted to any ecclesiastical authority. For guidance from your own church, talk to your priest or your pastor — that is the line the whole app follows, and it is written out on the pages where it matters.
